Back From The Gulf

Bless Our Gulf (Horizon Relief)

Hey everyone! I'm back from the first of several visits to The Gulf for my new consulting job. The trip was incredibly busy but very successful. I'm supporting a new client with some regulatory and industry requirements. We got off to a great start with the group of engineers I met with last week.

The company I'm supporting is in no way, shape or form responsible for the disaster. I did meet some people however who saw first hand what happened and was in awe of their stories of recovery and their involvement in bringing stranded workers from the rig home safely. I am so sorry for the families of the nine men killed in the accident. My heart goes out to each and every one of them.

While I was MIA, a few people sent an email to check in on me and make sure I was okay. I was so touched by that. I continue to be amazed at the kindness of all you who I've met here. I do most sincerely thank you for thinking of me and caring enough to do that. And for what it's worth, I thought about all of you as well. I realized just how much we all have invested in each other through our blobs. (No that's not a typo. My Mom used to call a blog a blob. And now, so do I. :)

So I need to catch up with all of your blobs. My Google Reader has 407 unread posts. I need to get busy! Thanks again for your friendship! You guys are the best and I'm so grateful to be able to share a little piece of me with all of you.
