The Times They Are A Changin'

Well, after two weeks on the road for work, I’m ready to address my blob posts here and here.

First let me say that you guys are remarkable! I appreciate the support so much. I was also touched by the incredibly honest emails and comments I received. You took the time to let me know I’m not alone and to share your own struggles as well. I was really moved by your openness.

When I wrote this post, I knew I wanted to share what I was doing in the hopes that it would keep me honest to my goal to better my life. But then I realized if I shared, maybe I could help someone too.

I don’t have a master plan that I can disseminate to everyone, but maybe just by sharing what I’m doing, I can help someone in someway. Maybe they could take a part of my journey and learn something from it too.

I by no means think of myself as a coach, therapist, trainer or whatever; but simply as a friend. A friend who wants you to succeed and be happy in every area of your life. If sharing what I learn can possibly help someone, then I’m happy to do it.

I know I’m inspired by many of your blobs and have tried new things because of you. Make no mistake about it. You inspire me and countless other blobbers.

Maybe it was a craft project, a new recipe, organizing tools, support to lose weight, tips on Twitter or guidance on health issues such as breast cancer or endometriosis. I don’t have breast cancer or endometriosis for that matter. But the journey of a brave girl struggling with it, giving it everything she’s got to have a child is indeed inspiring. And that’s just one example.

There are so many of you that are truly amazing to me. You are kind and gracious and supportive and nurturing and everything else I especially need at this time in my life.

So starting this week I am committed to taking the first steps in making my life better. I don’t have all the answers. I don’t even have a plan. But I am ready.

  2. Not sure if my first response made it to you, but it was along the lines of all that any of us can do is give each day our best. As long as we look forward and not back or down, we are making progress!
