After nearly 9 hours with my Dad at the hospital today, we learned he will require open heart surgery next week. If I may ask for your prayers yet again, I would really appreciate it if you would please pray for my Dad.
My Dad is so strong. I don't know how he does it. But I know he's always been like that. You know, the kind of guy who can leap tall buildings in a single bound. Yeah, that's my Dad.
Prior to this year I would have argued that I inherited that gene. But Superman, I am not. I am sad and I am scared. This year has completely and utterly kicked my ass.

Oh no. SO sorry B. If he is strong he will bounce back quicker. My Dad had 7 by-passes done on Christmas eve. one year. It made for a sad Christmas. He did so well after a few days. He is gone now but not because of his heart......he had

ReplyDeletePraying Praying Praying... And sending you all the love I've got!
ReplyDeleteGirl I don't even know what to say anymore. I remember having years like yours. Not the same stuff as you are going through, but terrifying just the same. Pray, stay strong, and then go and have a good cry when it's all done. Will your sister or your boyfriend be with you while your Dad is having surgery? Keep us posted. My thoughts are with you.

Mercy! Praying for you and your family for strength and God's arms around you through this next round of health issues. If you take a moment to feel the love all those you have lost this year have given to you, I think you will have an inner power you haven't even tapped yet. This is the season of LOVE. BELIEVE!
ReplyDeleteYou will definitely have my prayers. I hope your dad gets through his surgery with flying colors. This year has totally sucked for you...2011 can only get better!
